We are looking for a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team and provide exceptional service to our valued customers.

Job Description: 

As a Cashier at Kovai Restaurants LLC, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and play a crucial role in delivering a positive dining experience. You will handle cash transactions, provide information to customers, and ensure smooth and efficient operations at the front-of-house.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet customers with a warm and friendly attitude, assist with menu inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit.

• Cash Handling: Accurately process cash, credit card, and digital payment transactions, and provide correct change to customers.

• Order Management: Efficiently input customer orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system and ensure accuracy in order entries.

• Menu Knowledge: Maintain a good understanding of the menu items, specials, and promotions to assist customers with their selections.

• Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized cashier station, including the arrangement of condiments, menus, and promotional materials.

• Assist with Takeout Orders: Handle takeout and delivery orders, ensuring order accuracy and timely packaging for customers.

• Resolve Issues: Address customer questions, concerns, or complaints in a professional and courteous manner, and escalate issues to management when necessary.

• Cash Reconciliation: Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.

• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the waitstaff and kitchen team to ensure efficient communication and order delivery.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is a plus, but not required.

• Strong mathematical skills for accurate cash handling.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and customer-oriented environment.

• Attention to detail and a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service.

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
